Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 24, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Seaflower Property Group, LLC ("Seaflower," "we," "us") collects through seaflowerproperty.com (the "Site") and in the course of our real estate and Condo Association Consulting services, how we use and share it, how we protect it, and the choices and rights you have. It is written to meet the requirements of the Rhode Island Data Transparency and Privacy Protection Act, the Rhode Island Identity Theft Protection Act, the Connecticut Data Privacy Act, Connecticut's Social Security number protection law, and Massachusetts data security regulations (201 CMR 17.00).

1. Our promise in short

  • We do not sell your personal information.
  • We do not use it for targeted advertising or profiling.
  • We share it only as needed to help you buy, sell, rent or consult with us, or when the law requires it.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Contact details: your name, email address, phone number and mailing address when you email, call or send a message through the Site.
  • Property and transaction details: the properties you are interested in or own, your price range, timing, and what you tell us about your plans.
  • Transaction documents: information in offers, listing and representation agreements, disclosures, leases and closing documents.
  • Rental applications: if you apply to rent a property, the application and screening may collect your date of birth, Social Security number, driver's license or other government ID number, employment and income, rental history, references, and credit, eviction and criminal background reports. Screening is done through RentSpree, a third-party tenant screening service, under its own privacy policy and the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act.
  • Condo Association Consulting: the names and contact details of board members and unit owners, and association records the board shares with us.
  • Reviews and testimonials: words you send us about your experience. We publish them only with your permission.

Information collected automatically

  • When you visit the Site, our website host and service providers automatically receive standard technical information, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, and the date and time of your visit. This is used to deliver and secure the Site.
  • Cookies: The Site does not use advertising, tracking or analytics cookies, and it has no chat tool. If we ever add one, we will update this Policy first.

Information from others

  • Cooperating agents, attorneys, lenders, title companies, condominium associations, MLS systems and public records may give us information about you in connection with a transaction.

3. How we use information

  • To answer your questions and provide the services you ask for.
  • To prepare, negotiate and complete purchases, sales, leases and consulting work.
  • To process and evaluate rental applications on behalf of landlords.
  • To meet our legal duties as a licensed real estate broker, including record-keeping required by the Rhode Island and Connecticut real estate commissions, fair housing, anti-money-laundering and tax laws.
  • To protect against fraud, including wire fraud, and to secure our systems.
  • To send you information you have asked for. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time (see Section 8).

4. How we share information

We share personal information only with:

  • Access: confirm whether we have your personal data and get a copy of it.
  • Correction: fix inaccurate information.
  • Deletion: ask us to delete your personal data.
  • Portability: get a copy of your data in a usable format.

Some information cannot be deleted because we must keep it by law, for example, transaction files real estate brokers are required to keep, or because we need it to complete a transaction you asked for or to defend legal claims.

7. Social Security Number Protection Policy

This policy is published under Connecticut General Statutes § 42-471 and applies to Social Security numbers we receive in any state.

  • We collect Social Security numbers only when needed, such as for rental screening, tax reporting or a transaction, and only through secure means.
  • We keep them confidential. Access is limited to people who need them to do their job.
  • We do not display them publicly, print them on mailings, or send them by unencrypted email, and we never ask you to send your Social Security number by email or text.
  • We do not sell, rent or disclose them except as required to complete your transaction or by law.
  • When they are no longer needed, we destroy records containing them by shredding, erasing or otherwise making them unreadable.

8. Email and phone

  • You can stop marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in the email or by asking us. We will still send messages about a transaction you are part of.
  • Our office line, , takes calls only. It does not send or receive text messages, so we will never ask you to text us personal information.

9. How we protect information

Seaflower keeps a written information security program, as required by the Rhode Island Identity Theft Protection Act (R.I. Gen. Laws § 11-49.3-2) and Massachusetts regulation 201 CMR 17.00. It includes reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards suited to the size of our business and the sensitivity of the information, such as password protection and encryption, secure storage, access limited to those who need it, and secure disposal. No system is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee the security of information sent over the internet.

10. If a data breach happens

If a breach of security exposes your personal information, we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires:

  • Rhode Island residents: within 45 calendar days after we confirm the breach. If more than 500 Rhode Island residents are affected, we will also notify the Attorney General and the major credit reporting agencies.
  • Connecticut residents: within 60 days after we discover the breach, with notice to the Connecticut Attorney General. If Social Security numbers or taxpayer ID numbers are involved, we will offer at least 24 months of identity theft prevention services at no cost to you.
  • Massachusetts residents: as soon as practicable and without unreasonable delay, with notice to the Massachusetts Attorney General and the Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation. If Social Security numbers are involved, we will offer at least 18 months of credit monitoring at no cost to you.

11. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes in this Policy and to meet legal requirements. Brokerage transaction records are kept for the periods required by the real estate laws of each state, generally at least three to seven years. Rental applications for applicants who are not approved are securely destroyed after the period required by law.

12. Children

The Site is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and we do not sell or use for targeted advertising the data of anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

13. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Because we do not track visitors across websites or sell data, the Site treats every visitor as having opted out. We honor Global Privacy Control signals.

14. Links to other sites

The Site links to other websites and services, such as realtor.com and online rental applications. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one.

15. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a new effective date. If we make a material change in how we use personal data, we will give notice on the Site before it takes effect.
